Obituary for Margaret Bingham

Margaret (Baby Sister) Bingham a resident of Mobile, AL was born on October 9, 1936 and departed this life on Thursday, December 21, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Bingham Valentine; father, Booker T Bingham; brothers, George and William Dove; granddaughters, Greshunda Baxter and Gwendolyn McCall; grandson, Willie Bingham; great-grandson, Alfred Jacques Jones; uncle, James Payton Jr.; and Godmother, Rutha Mae Whigham. She was a faithful member and Mother of the Church of The Good Shepherd under Pastor Dr. Netha Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories six loving children, Anita Montgomery, Hattie (Gregory) Baxter, Edythe Bingham, and Emmett (Darlene) Bingham all of Mobile, AL, Roy (Tina) Bingham of Pittsburgh, PA, Anthony (Earline) Bingham of Gulfport, MS; sisters, Edris L. (Floyd) Miller of Steubenville, OH, and Marianne (Alonzo) McClendon of San Diego, CA; adopted daughters, Pastor Dr. Netha Johnson and Pastor Annie Hines; grandchildren, Latasha Montgomery, Latanya (Keon) Young, LaNassiya Bingham, Alfred Bingham, Kinesha Bingham, Margaret Baxter, Roy Bingham Jr, Sabrina (Gerald) Parsons, Katrina (Joseph) Mickens, Pamela Bingham, Tiona Henderson, Alana Bingham, Andrew Bingham, Terrell McCall, Raymond Roberson, Kimberly Moody, LaGioia McCall, Meshune McCall, Emerson McCall, Tiesha (Robert) Henderson, Latedra (Jessie) Dixon, Demetrius (Jessica) Bingham, Patrena Bingham, Taheatha Strait, Shaiheatrice Strait, Emmesha Strait, and Emmorja Bingham; a devoted aunt, Louvenia Payton; adopted granddaughters, Jacquette Jones, Shantay Fields, and Takeyah Jackson; adopted grandson, Randall Brown; 54 great grandchildren; one devoted, Tavares Bingham; 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; host of cousins, one devoted Richard Dove of Pensacola, FL; extended family, the Mitchell/Tolbert family, the Slay family, Samuel (Sally) Brown, Betty Atkins, Patricia and Juanita Davis, Gayle Alston, William and Lorraine Robinson, the Moore family, Lonny and Penny Miller; friends, Rena Jones, Northalee Edwards, Karen Bronson, Patricia Young, Rev. Patricia Lucky, and Caranda Keling; devoted friends, Sharon Smith and Rev. Shirley Pettway; and a multitude of other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state 5-8pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Church Of The Good Shepherd, 1556 Hurtel Street, Mobile, Alabama. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.
