Life Story for Delois Taylor

Delois  Taylor
Mother Delois Taylor was born to the late Mr. Arthur Lee Mims and Mrs. Lucy Mims in Old Texas, Alabama on July 31, 1936. Mother Taylor moved to Baldwin County, AL at the early age of 10 years old.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Cora Mims Boulware, and Viola Robinson; two brothers; David Lee Mims and Arthur Mims.

Mother Delois Taylor served as the Local Sunshine Band President and Chairperson of Missionary Day at Canaanland Church of God In Christ.

She leaves to cherish, a devoted husband of 62 years, Superintendent Johnnie Taylor, Sr.; two daughters, Linda Taylor and Wanda Taylor both of Bay Minette, AL; five sons, Johnnie (Christine) Taylor, Jr.; William (Bernadetta) Taylor, Sr., Ronald (Miriam) Taylor, Sr.; Nathan (Patricia) Taylor, Sr. and Carl (Helen) Taylor, all of Bay Minette, AL; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a host of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Snowden of Laurel, MS and Martha Hanna of Florence, SC.

Visitation for Mother Taylor will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at McGhee Memorial Temple Church of God In Christ, 500 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd, Bay Minette, AL. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Bay Minette, AL.
