Obituary for Dorothy Inge Patterson
Dorothy Inge Patterson, a native of Prichard, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL, born on March 15, 1934 transitioned on Friday, January 5, 2018. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee of Kimberly Clark Paper Company.
She was born to the union of Mr. Teemer Inge, Sr. and Mrs. Sadie Smith Inge, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also the sister of the late Clarence (Willie Mae) Inge, Thelma (George) Broxton, Ethel (Alex) Scott, Teemer Inge, Jr., Nathaniel Inge, Joseph Inge, Sr., Dr. Warren (Irma) Inge, Carl Inge, and Oscar Inge.
Sis. Patterson is survived by three devoted children: Ann R. Patterson, Charles (Thelma) Patterson, and Dwayne Inge Patterson; two brothers: Wilbert Lee (Antoinette) Inge and Leonard (Saundra) Inge; a devoted cousin: Gloria (James) Sawyers; four grandchildren: Charles Z. (Lashannda) James, Ryan (Avander Kidd) James, Tanya (Jacolby McDowell) James, Sheldrick (Keyonna Gray) James; eight great grandchildren:Lauryn Ashley James, Zoe Elise James, Michael Kidd, Aryah Kidd James, Akiya Kidd James, Jasclynn A. McDowell, Kylie James and Mason Lee Taite ; three sisters-in-law: Myrtle Inge, Autherine Inge, and Daisy Inge; a host of other relatives and friends.
Her remains will lie in state from 1-8pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 210 Clark Avenue, Prichard, AL. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
