Minister Alice Marie Westry, on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 Your assignment was fulfilled and God called you home.
She was born January 12, 1947 to the late Mack Bowden and Rosealee Westry Duncan in Coy, Alabama.
Over forty years ago Alice accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. After she received Christ into her life she started living for Him and she never looked back. Alice Marie lived her life holy, acceptable and pleasing to Him. As a member of Mount Hebron church, she taught Sunday school and was a part of their ministry team under the leadership of Pastors Joe and Linda Johnson. Alice Marie was a crusader for Christ and her mission was to tell everyone that she encountered about the goodness and love of Jesus Christ. Alice Marie was full of wisdom and served as a mentor to many that she come across.

Alice Marie was preceded in death by her son Michael Peake, beloved grandmother Alice Westy; mother Rosealee Duncan; father Mack Bowden.

Alice Marie received her education from Southwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan, attended Wayne State College and later work as a house manager for MARC and was a foster parent for the Department of Human Resources in Mobile, Alabama until she retired.

Alice Marie leaves to cherish her memory her one and only daughter LaTasha (Chris) Murphy from Daphne, Al. Her beloved granddaughter Allison (Kendal) Augustus from Dallas, Texas and the newest love of life, great-grand daughter, Londyn Rose Augustus. Her sister’s in Christ and her daughter’s in Christ. A lot of family members, loved ones and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at St. Paul MB Church, 123 Allen Barnes Road, McIntosh, Alabama.
