Dea Benjamin(Ben)Watson – A native of Bay Minette, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents: Brother Clarence and Sister Thelma Watson; brothers: Edwin and Gene Watson.

He leaves to cherish his memories and lament his demise, a wife of 52 years: Bessie Watson; a daughter: Shemika Watson of Mobile Al.; one son: Maurice Watson of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren: Alize Watson (devoted), Courtney Watson(devoted), Clarence Erby III, Adrianne Watson, Ariana Watson, Shiloh Watson, Skylor Watson all of Mobile, Miranda Davis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Laiyonna Wilcox, Lariyaira Wilcox, Jaelynn Harris, all of Cincinnati Ohio; brothers: Milton (Elizabeth) Watson of Daphne AL, Preston (Paula) Watson of Cantonment, FL; sisters-in-law: Olivia Watson of Biloxi, MS, Sarah Watson of Bay Minette, AL, Lydia Willis of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one devoted: George(Karen)Watson Sr; other relatives and friends.

His remains will lie in state from 1-8pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at the Mobile Baptist Sunlight District Auditorium, 609 Seminary Street, Prichard, AL. Interment will follow in the Alabama State Veteran’s Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
