Obituary for Corine Williams

Corine “Coco” Allen Williams born February 12, 1953, received her wings from God on Saturday April 7, 2018 while surrounded in love by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Reverend Henry Allen and Lucille Williams, her sisters Otis Mae Allen, Henrianna McGrew, Lula Mae Taylor, Dorothy Carlisle and Jackie Ludgood.

Corine accepted Christ as her personal Savior and faithfully devotes her life to His service. Her singing career began at an early age in the youth and mass choirs of Stewart Memorial C.M.E church, she was instrumental in the inception of the Full House Show & Band where she was the lead singer for 37 years until her illness removed her from the stage.

Corine touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.

Corine will forever be remembered by her devoted children LaTosha (Kenneth) Peters and Daniel “Boosie” Williams, loving sister Rosalie McKinney and beloved brothers Rufus (Marlene) Allen and Jimmy Williams, treasured grandchildren Joshua Williams, Kimberly Peters, and Christopher Peters, caring nieces Cynthia McGrew, Isla McGrew Anna McGrew Stephanie McGrew, Jeanette Salter, Jeanetta Blount, Sharon Carlisle, affectionate nephews Leonard McGrew, Jr, Jimmy Salter, John McKinney and Christopher Dyer, godchildren Damien Brown Kelvin Brown, Willie Brown and Sandra Bellows along with countless other great nieces and nephews, friends and family whom were blessed to know her.

Her remains will lie in state on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 1- 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10am until the 12pm funeral hour at El Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 1200 Gayle Street, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL. DIGNIFIED AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ENTRUSTED TO SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. BROAD ST., MOBILE, AL, 36603.
