Mrs. Carrie Lee Sullivan-- a native of Marengo County, Alabama and a resident of Theodore, Alabama born January 30, 1940 and departed this life Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Howard Nelson, Sr, and predecessor Rev. B. J. Parker, Sr., until her death.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories 7 children; Mattie (George) Bowie, Freddie Sullivan, Shelia (David) Pettway and Chris (Shelia) Sullivan, all of Theodore, Alabama, Carl (Antionette) Sullivan, Melbourne, Illinois, Lasaja Jackson, Mobile, Alabama, Derrick (Shera) Sullivan, Robertsdale, Alabama, 5 sisters; Susie (Walter) Corley, Moss Point, Mississippi, Margaret (Tony) Bratcher, Cooper Cove, Texas, Mary (Luke) Brown, Fort Worth, Texas, Bertha Green and Doris Thompson, both of Theodore, Alabama, 4 brothers; William (Linda) Green, Robert (Carrie) Green and Rayford Green all of Theodore, Alabama and Samuel (Taneckia) Mitchell, Mobile, Alabama, 2 sisters-in-law; Hattie Jean Sullivan, Atlanta, Georgia and Linda Sullivan, Detroit, Michigan, 4 brothers-in-law; Matthew Nelson, New York, Walter (Donna) Sullivan, Missouri City, Texas, Henry Sullivan, Jr., and Edward Sullivan, both of Pensacola, Florida, aunt-in-law; Zula Sullivan, Missouri City, Texas 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.
Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, April 20, 2018 from 3pm until 8pm and Saturday, April 21, 2017 after 10 am until the 12pm funeral hour Mt. Ararat Baptist Church 5201 Washington Blvd Theodore, Alabama. Interment will follow in the Lawn Haven Cemetery.
