Mark Augusta Ward-- was born January 25, 1957 to Celestine Ward . Heavy as he was affectionately was known was baptized at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He graduated from mobile County High School in 1975. He eager to start his independence, therefore working offshore for several years. He also worked in plumbing. He was passionate about his music. He had an unquestionable love for his family and held his friends dear to his heart as well. Mark transitioned from this life and entered the land of eternity on Sunday May 13, 2018. Awaiting to welcome and embrace him was his Maternal Grandmother ,Ruth Bolden, Tommy ward and his Paternal Grandparents, Simp and Cora Prichett and his brother Calvin Prichett, Jr. Mark leaves to cherish his memories to his loving and devoted parents, Calvin and Celestine Prichett, Grand Bay, Alabama, his children; Bernard Ward, St Mary, Georgia, Marcus ward, Irvington, Alabama, Kalia Ward, Grand Bay, Alabama, and Chasity Williams, Theodore, Alabama, brothers; Anthony Prichett and Joseph Prichett, both of Grand Bay, Alabama, and Frazier Porter, Texas, sisters; Jacqueline Sanders (Johnny Meyer), Patricia Dixon, Ruth( Kevin) Kent and Vikki Hammond all of Grand Bay, Alabama. A loving and devoted companion; Kathy Poole, Theodore, Alabama, brothers-in-law; Douglas Dixon, Grand Bay, Alabama, and Jeffery Sanders, Mobile, Alabama, sisters-in-law, Valerie Prichett, Grand Bay, Alabama, and Sally Prichett, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Uncles; Augusta Ward, Isaac Ward, Artis Ward, Esau (Michelle) Ward and Walter (Izella) Prichett, all of Grand Bay, Alabama. Aunts; Agnes (Randolph) Wells, Moss Point, Mississippi, Etta Ward, Sarah Prichett, Ladochie Forrest, Shirley Prichett, Jacqueline Gbogboad, Ann (Theodore) Jackson, of Pensacola, Florida and Arteas Dees, Mobile, Alabama. Great Aunt, Cleopatra Jones, Grand Bay, Alabama, god sisters, La'Sha Parker, Chymaria Sanders, Erica Dotson, Valerie Morgan, and Sheretta Watford, god brothers; Eric Nelson and Derrick Nelson, and Ulysses Hughes, Jr. and an estranged wife, Jacqueline Ward, Irvington, Alabama. His memory will live on in the lives of many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Theodore Friday, May 18, 2018 from 1- 8 pm and Saturday, May 19, 2018 after 9 am until the 11 am funeral hour Bethlehem Baptist Church, 10666 Ladner Rd.
