Mr. Charles James Lacy, 68, a resident of Mobile, AL, known as “Lacy” passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his residence. He loved working on cars and spending time with friends.

Mr. Lacy was preceded in death by his mother: Mrs. Leanna Douglass Lacy; his father: Mr. Earl Lacy; and his son: Terrence R. Esters.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife: Helena Lacy; two daughters: Phyllis T. Johnson of Rex, GA and Christy Esters of Mobile, AL; one step-daughter: Angele (Alias) Wright of Atlanta, GA; four sons: Jarvis Lee, Sherman Berryhill, Charles (Cherry) Lee and Charles (Alexis) McGinney Esters, all of Mobile, AL; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the 2pm hour on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Smalls Mortuary Chapel, Mobile, AL.
