Obituary for LV Pettway
Mr. LV Pettway, a native of Wilcox County, AL, and a resident of Mobile, AL for a number of years, departed this life on Sunday, May 20, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Nellie Benjamin; wife: Rosa K. Pettway; three sons: Lucious, Alexander, and Gordon Pettway.
He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters: Theresa, Bernadine, Cynthia (Edward) Ross; four sons: Marvin (Cheryl) of Texas, Gregory Adams, Elrick (Joyce) and Delrick Pettway all of Mobile, AL.; three uncles: Bruce Pettway of California, Marcus Pettway and Lovett Young of Mobile, AL; two sisters-in-law: Violo Cunningham of San Antonio, TX, and Sallie Titus of St. Louis. Missouri; one devoted-adopted grandson: Issac Dornell Pettway of Houston, TX; one devoted niece: Felecia Collier of Mobile, AL; 20 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, cousin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His remains will lie in state on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 1-8pm at Smalls Mortuary, Mobile, AL. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour in Small’s Mortuary Chapel, Mobile, AL. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery-Mobile, AL
