Obituary for Ida Koen-Milton (Koen)

Ida “Ollie” Jean Koen – Milton, was born November 12, 1957, to the union of Albert and Dorothy Koen Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Rickey Koen, and one sister Gloria Tolbert.

She was a native and long-time resident of Loxley, AL. She confessed to Christ at an early age and united with Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E. D. Womack. She was later under the leadership of the late Rev. David Miller Sr. She was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Gospel Chorus, head of the kitchen committee, and custodian for many years.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband, Mathadae “Kidd” Milton; seven children, Mathadae (Ericca) Koen of Jonesboro, GA, Jamie (Lyna) Koen of Foley, AL, Tasha Koen of Loxley, AL, Byron Koen of Daphne, AL, Chastity (Derrick) McCovery of Stapleton, AL, Nykhesia Koen and Carsyn Koen both of Loxley, AL; five sisters, Bobbie Koen, Betty (George) Davis both of Daphne, AL, Sandra Brown of Mobile, AL, Jackie (Eddie Rudolph) Koen of Daphne, AL, and Melody Haro of Bakersfield, CA; three brothers, Albert (Patricia) Koen Jr. of Loxley, AL, Ron (Ozella) Koen of Silverhill, AL, and Terry Koen of Foley, AL; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two aunts, Helen Hardy and Cora Dean Jerkins of Loxley, AL; two God daughters, Melody Rudolph and Shakema Koen-Rogers; two devoted nieces, Coronda Davis and Treneka Tolbert; a devoted cousin Eunice Mickles; a devoted friend, Marie Mason; a devoted honorary niece, Danielle Miller-Ikner; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 p.m. funeral hour at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 13995 County Road 66, Loxley AL, 3655. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Loxley AL.
