Life Legacy

Fred Foster, born December 7, 1934, a native of Brewton, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL passed this life on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at a local hospital. Fred was a retiree from the City of Mobile, Public Works Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Bertha Foster. He leaves to cherish his heart-felt memories a devoted and loving wife of 41 years, Susie T. Foster and his children, Tara (Charles) Williams, Bedford TX, Frederick Foster, Michael (Sheneque) Foster, both of Mobile, AL, April (the late Dwayne) Lewis of Columbia, SC and Teresa Smith of Brookhaven, MS. One step daughter Delisha Campbell. A special devoted granddaughter whom he raised Delisha Campbell (Granny). He is survived by three sisters, Mary Lou (Sylvester) Hollins, Pasadena, Ca, Jean McCullough, Junction City, KS and Earline (Hosea) Chambers, Compton, CA; two brothers, Joseph Foster, Brewton, AL and Henry Foster, Los Angeles, CA; two sisters-in-law, Iva (Henry) Pitts and Carolyn (Carl) Kenney, Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Brianna (Pooche), Michael, Jr. (Hay-boy) and Malia (Princess) Foster; four step grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Smalls Mortuary, 950 South Broad Street, Friday, October 15, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the Small's Mortuary Chapel, 950 South Broad Street, Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour.
