Maggie (Fannie) L. Goins Autrey Brown, a native of Mobile, Alabama, and a resident of Prichard, Alabama, was born January 28, 1937, exchanged this life for eternity to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. “Granny” was a woman of courage, strength, compassion, and love. She was preceded in death by her brother, Louis McGee, Dallas, TX; sisters, Josephine Tucker, Gulfport, MS and Marie Wyatt, Mobile, AL. She leaves to cherish her precious memories four daughters, Barbara (Skippy) Lowe, Pamela (Rollen, “Rick”) Edwards, Santa Marie (Tony “Kiddie”) McCovery and Wanda Slaughter (Ronnie), all of Mobile, AL; four sons, Brennen (Lillian) Autrey, Edward Autrey, Mobile, AL, Hesah (Kitty) Autrey, Quitman, MS, Isaac (Vera) Autrey, Dallas, TX; two sisters, Juanita Roche, Oakland, CA and Lucille Roche, Gulfport, MS; brother, Willie (Barbara) Goins, Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Rachel McGee, Dallas, TX; 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her remains will lie in state on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 noon funeral hour at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church, 1711 Taylor Lane, Mobile, AL. The interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery North, 730 Shelton Beach Road, Eight Mile, AL.
