Deacon Ollie “Daddy Howze” Howze, born July 17, 1934, departed this life February 26, 2012. He was a resident of Satsuma, AL for 77 years. He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Mother Ella D. Howze, Satsuma, AL; three sons, Gregory Boston, Whistler, AL, Bobby (Geraldine) Howze, Axis, AL and Don (Denise) Howze, Satsuma, AL; two daughters, Debra H. Smith and Theresa H. Smith, both of Satsuma, AL; one sister, Annie Pearl Daniels and one brother, Freddie (Laura) Howze, both of Prichard, AL; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His remains will lie in state Friday, March 2, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour Greater Showers of Blessings Church of God in Christ, 705 Telegraph Road, Prichard, AL, Prophet Charles Buchanan, Officiating Minister.
