Mother Minnie Austin Barnes was born February 17, 1934 in Mobile AL. She exchanged this life for life eternal on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at a local hospital.

She leaves to cherish her memories six children: Verdock Barnes of Denver CO, Robert Barnes, Juanita (Austin) Veale, and Rachel Williams of Citronelle AL, Paul (Virginia) Barnes of Beaverton OR, and Carlos Barnes of Mobile AL; twenty-three grandchildre; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Her remains will lie in state on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 1pm-8pm at Smalls Mortuary, Mobile. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 11am until the 1pm "Homegoing Celebration" at the Citronelle Church of God, 7470 Coy Smith Hwy. Citronelle AL. Interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
