Ethel Walton  White
Ethel L. Walton (White) , a native of Mobile, Alabama and a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was born on July 25, 1959 and was called home to eternal rest on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Ethel accepted Christ at a young age which continued into her adulthood. Ethel attended C. F. Vigor High School and graduated in 1977. She joined the U.S. Navy, July 11, 1978 where she served for 20 years. Upon retirement in July 1998 from the Navy, she worked at Regent University as a Manager of Events from October 1998 until her untimely passing on Thursday, July 5, 2018.

Ethel L. Walton is preceded in death by her father; James C. Walton; mother: Rosa M. Walton; and sister: Myra W. McCreary.

She is survived by her devoted daughter: Lakenya (Chris) Kopf; two grandbabies: Devean and Justin Kopf; six sisters: Brenda (Cookie) Walton, Sylvia (Isaac) Kimbrough of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary (Lavon) Young of Hampton, VA, Doris Paige, Juanita (Tommy) Covington, and Marcella Dale. She is also survived by her two brothers: Allen Montgomery and Hundre Henry Montgomery; a devoted special friend: Kemmitt Preston; devoted friends: Joe Dobie of Richmond, VA, Leslie Taylor, Sheila Enoch and Sandra Bryant all of Virginia Beach, VA; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 8:30am until the 10:30am funeral hour at Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 359 St. Charles Avenue, Mobile, Alabama.

Interment will follow in the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
