Obituary for Alberta Davis

Mother Alberta Davis (affectionally known as “Bert Bert"), A native of Monroeville, Alabama, and a resident of Prichard, Alabama, born June 23,1932 to the late Charlie and Armer Lee Wiggins. She made her peaceful transition on Monday Oct 22, 2018 at Springhill Memorial Hospital Mobile, AL at the age of 86.

Mother Alberta Davis was a long standing and devoted member of Church of God Pentecostal for over 50 years under the leadership of the late Bishop E. D. Davis. She also was the International Usher President. In her spare time, she loved baking, ironing, and sewing. She always stayed busy. She had a passion for helping people no matter the time of day if you called her she was there whether it was just to listen or to pray.
Mother Davis looked forward to attending all the summer trips and convocation. She took her roll as the President of the Usher Board very serious.
The highlight of her day was when the grandchildren would come around, she would spoil them rotten. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy Leslie Davis and her daughter, Ira Dean Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory seven children: Leslie G. (Cherry) Davis, Gwen Davis- Lewin, Charles Davis, Brenda Davis Irby, Yolanda (Johnnie) Foxx, Tjwania R. Davis, Montrel (Jannice) Davis.
She also leaves to cherish her memory five brothers: Rayford (Margaret) Wiggins of Philadelphia, PA; Leonard (Angela) Wiggins of Monroeville, AL; Roy (Annette) Wiggins of Chicago, IL; John Wiggins Pensacola, FL; Charles (Christine) Wiggins of Philadelphia, PA. three sisters, Annie Ree Richardson of Moss Point, MS, Mary Harrison of Chicago, IL and Geraldine Broughton of Pensacola, FL; one devoted uncle, Juderson (Mattie) Leslie, Theodore, AL. Also cherishing her memory 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, saints and friends.
