Obituary for Alexander Eugene Lucas Bendolph

Alexander Lucas Bendolph, born January 26, 1955 in Mobile, AL to the union of the late Jimmie Lucas and Melvina Lucas. He departed this life for his eternal home on Thursday February 27, 2020.

He worked in the maritime shipping industry for over 41 years, where he was a member of the Seafares International Union of North America.
Alexander was preceded in death by his brother, Collins Bendolph Jr. amd his sisters, Dorothy “Mae Mae” Beard and Bettye Bendolph Greene.
He leaves to cherish his memories four daughters; Nathefia (Claude) Jowers , Latricia “Booney” Jones, Renada Lucas and Antjornett ‘Net” Washington; two sons, Gary Lucas and James A. Blackmon; five sisters Leola Henderson, Jeanette Richardson, Roxie Poellnitz and Lorann Lucas; one brother Deacon Jimmie (Jacqueline) Lucas; ten grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends
