Mrs. Alisa M. Davis “Lisa”, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, August 5, 2018. Alisa was born on January 1, 1965, in Mobile, AL, the 10th child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Edwards (Elizbeth Dees) Morris, Sr. As a child, she committed her life to Christ and was baptized at East Birmingham Alabama Church of Christ in Birmingham. AL

She was a member of Living Word Worship Center in Mobile, Al. She later became a faithful member of Yorktown Missionary Baptist Church, Plateau, AL. In service to her Lord and Savior, she served on the Deaconess Board.

She graduated from Murphy High School, Class of 1983. She matriculated at Faulkner University in Mobile Campus, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Management and Human Resources. She was recently retired after 21 years of service with the Mobile County Commission in the Investigation and Recovery Dept. Alisa was dedicated to serving others and sharing her loving, calm, giving spirit. She was the founder of Just Girls Inc. a non-profit touching the lives of young girls with the mission of training young girls in etiquette and becoming young women.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Edwards (Elizbeth Dees) Morris, Sr., a sister, Shirley Morris Pruitt, and one brother Johnny Edward Morris, Jr.

In sickness and in health, ‘til death do us part….
Alisa was joined in holy matrimony with Ronald K. Davis of Prichard, AL on April 27, 1996. Alisa was a loving wife., devoted step-mother and granny. Ronald and Lisa enjoyed 22 years of marriage enjoying their many travels and community service Mayor and First Lady of the City of Prichard, AL

She is survived by her husband: Ronald K. Davis of Prichard, AL; three stepchildren: Mrs. Shannon Marie White (Norman) of Pelham, AL, Mr. JaRon Davis, Nashville, TN, and Ms. JaRhonda Davis of Anniston, AL; one grandson: Norman “Trey” White, III; five sisters: Catherine Smith, Helen Elaine Seals and Faye (Larry) Dailey all of Mobile, AL, Janice (Gerald) Wiggins of Tunnel Springs, AL, and Linda Morris of Birmingham, AL; two brothers: Charles Morris of Mobile, AL, and Reginald Morris of Birmingham, AL; two aunties: Mrs. Ruby Owens of Mobile, AL, and Mrs. Barbara Jean Ragen of Atlanta, GA; uncle: Mr. Larry Dees of Mobile, AL; father-in law: Mr. James “Shot” Davis; one brother- in-law: Mr. Glen Davis; one sister-in-law: Mrs. Jayme Reynolds; and a host of nieces, nephews and many cousins. She will be missed by her devoted and trusted caregivers, her big sister, Helen Elain Seals, and devoted nieces, Tamara Morris and Ashley Dailey.

God’s angels have ushered Alisa to her heavenly home, she was our angel here on earth and we will forever cherish her memories. We will miss our dear Alisa, my loving Wife, stepmother, granny, baby sister, auntie, cousin and special friend.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 9am until the 11am “Homegoing Celebration” at Yorktown Missionary Baptist Church, 851 East Street, Mobile, Alabama. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, Eight Mile, Alabama.
