Obituary for Annie Lee Griffin

Annie Lee Griffin, born and raised in Plateau, Alabama on Green Alley. She departed this life on November 18, 2022, at home with family after a brief illness.

Annie Lee Griffin was born to the union of Dennis Moore and Annie Mae Moore on May 12, 1943. She was preceded in death by her father Mr. Dennis Moore, Mother Annie Mae Moore, son Mr. Willie Griffin, brother Rev. Nathaniel Moore and Sisters Velma (Enoch) Irby, and Linda Moore Clausell.

Annie Lee Griffin was a faithful servant in church, always willing to cook, which is one of many things she loved most.

Annie Lee Griffin leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband of 53 years Rev. Willie Griffin, two loving sons, the late Willie Griffin, Honorable Derrick N. Griffin, one Honorary son Bennie M. Jackson Mosley, all of Prichard, Al. one daughter Ms. Talonda Griffin. Seven grandchildren Lamar Griffin, Tamira Inge, Brandon Inge, Caden Inge, Brooklyn Griffin, Keyunate (James) Caver, and Kennedy Griffin. 10 great grandchildren Pai’Lynn Campbell, Kyli Campbell, Kali Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Keyuntae Caver, JaKayla Caver, James Caver Jr., Jasson Caver, Kacey Caver, Kaliyah Caver, two brothers the late Rev. Nathaniel (Bernadette) Moore and Dennis (Senoria) Moore all of Mobile, Al., two sisters the late Velma (Enoch) Irby and the late Linda Moore Clausell, both of Mobile, Al. Donszella Moore, Sharon Curtis, Stacey Moore, two- devoted nieces Vickie Clausell, and Valencia Clausell. nephews Clifford Moore and Steve Clausell. Great niece Shawntavia (Justin) Williams and Clifford Moore Jr. devoted cousins Tracy Thames Murray, Sharla (Joseph) Wells, God-Daughter Traci Hale, and Godson Joshua Holifield, close neighbors Melinda Holifield, Annie Watts, and Irene McFadden and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin’s other relatives and friends.

Annie Lee Griffin fulfilled her earthly duties and is now taking her rest with the heavenly father.

Annie Lee Griffin visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:00pm until the 8:00pm at Small’s Mortuary 950 S. Broad St. Mobile Al 36603. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 12:00pm at First Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church 664 Shelby Street Prichard Alabama 36610. Rev., Dr. Clyde Maye, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in the Plateau Cemetery. Professional Services entrusted to Small’s Mortuary.
