Obituary

Archie Thomas Lucy Jr. was born December 10, 1968 to the union of the late Gwendolyn Cleveland-Lucy and the late Archie Lucy Sr. in Mobile, AL. He was called to rest on October 26, 2019 to continue a peaceful eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Archie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Mobile, AL. He attended Lillie B. Williamson High School (Class of 87) and Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL (Class of 92). Archie, affectionally known as “Pookie”, was well known and loved throughout the Maysville and Down the Bay communities as well as other cities of Alabama. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he especially loved being a father. He was an amazing cook, a spectacular dancer, and a magical story teller. He had a beautiful smile and an infectious energy that would light up any room.
Archie leaves to cherish his memory three beautiful children - daughters Porcha Miller (Mobile, AL), Aalayah Lucy (Birmingham, AL), and son Archie Thomas Lucy III (Birmingham, AL), their mothers- Adrienne Turk (Birmingham, AL), Beverly Ann Miller (Mobile, AL), as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
