Betty Roberta Miles Mosley, a resident of Mobile, Alabama was born February 14, 1931 to the union of Tom Linen and Maggie Warren in Dallas County, Alabama. She passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at home.
Betty attended Mt. Calvary Elementary Lutheran School and graduated on May 30, 1945. Betty came to Mobile in September of 1945 and enrolled at Mobile County Training School in Plateau, Alabama. She was a proud graduate of the Class of 1949. She played softball her junior year and was selected as “The Best Right Fielder” in the county.
Betty and A.C. Mosley were married in 1949, sharing sixty-five years together. They were blessed with three sons: A.C. Jr., Michael and one deceased at birth.
Betty, was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health started to decline. She served in many capacities as: Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, Choir Member and President of the Matrons Department. She also served as President of the Old Land Mark Association’s Matrons Department of Mobile County for sixteen years.
Betty did private duty work for the Ison and Wacker Family for many years. For the latter of her years, the relationship with the Ison Family grew stronger and stronger with love and devotion.
She was preceded in death by husband, A.C. Sr.; one brother, five sisters, three brothers-in-law; and one devoted granddaughter, Consuella Denise “Connie” Mosley.
Betty leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons: A.C. Jr. (Thelma) and Michael (Donna); one devoted sister, Clara Lee; one brother, Paul (Sharon) Clemons; four grandchildren: A.C. III, Michael Jr., Tyler, and McKenzie Mosley Aaron; two great-grandchildren: Montrell Claiborne and Anabelle Grace Aaron; devoted niece, Deborah Hendrix;
devoted friend, Sister Nan Mosley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
