Beverly Ann Allen, 68, was born in Prichard to Annie & Irving Allen
on July 10, 1951, passed away on February 12, 2020 in Pensacola,
FL.
She graduated from Mobile County Training School, 1969 and
completed her degree in nursing at Tuskegee University, 1974.
She later married husband, (Rubin Cox), and moved to Chicago. She
later returned to Mobile as a nurse supervisor at Providence Hospital,
where she remained until retirement.
She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Woodridge
Baptist Church. She loved spending time and having cookouts with
her family. Beverly was involved in many clubs and charitable affairs
but her passion was volunteering at women’s shelters and sponsoring
families. She also spent time feeding and sharing the word of God
with the homeless.
Beverly is preceded in death by her brothers: Ledger Allen, Leonard
Allen andRobert Sanders; nephew, Robert Sanders Jr.; and parents,
Annie and Irving Allen.
Beverly is survived by nephews: Eric Allen, Brian Allen, Byron
Allen and great nephew, Xavier Allen; niece, Latoya Brooks and
great niece, Autumn Moore; cousin, George Cook and a host of
family and friends within and outside of the State of Alabama.
