Mr. Calvin Hazzard was born on March 24, 1939 in Hope Hull, AL. to the late Nathan Hazzard Sr., and Ethel Mae Hayes. He transitioned from Life to Eternal Life in the comfort of His home surrounded by his family on October 4, 2018.

He was a retired Merchant Marine with Seafarer, where he was a steward cook.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served faithfully until his health began to decline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan Hazzard Sr., and Ethel Mae Hayes; Sister Gertrude Hazzard and Brother Nathan Hazzard, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Mrs. Ida Hazzard. Six children; Andre (Thalia) Jackson, Cheryl Levins, Deborah Jackson, Kevin (Misa) Hazzard, Patrice Hazzard, and Bobby Hazzard. One Sister: Doris Womack, Five Brothers; Maxie (Ophelia) Hazzard, Jerome (Ramona) Taylor, Ollie Taylor, Harold Harris, and Greg Harris.

His life was surrounded by his 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
