Obituary for Carol Jean Russell Harris

Sister Carol Jean Russell Harris, affectionately called “Carolyn” departed this life on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at USA Health University Hospital, after a valiant fight Covid-19. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, but she was tired and got a glimps of Heaven and decided to exchange addresses to her Heavenly Home. Her favorite song was “God’s Grace!”
Carol Jean was born on June 11, 1956 in Perry County, Alabama, to the union of the late Jerry and Maggie Lee Russell. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Elouise Russell Prince, Ida Mae Russell Jones and Willie Mae Russell.
Carol Jean leaves to cherish her memory a devoted companion, Alvino Cunningham; four sons: Christopher Russell, Almonza (Jessica) Russell, Steven (Jakeera) Harris and Earnest Harris all of Mobile, AL; five brothers: Jerry (Hazel) Russell, Alphonse (Lela) Russell, Charles Russell, Melvin (Quita) Russell and Eric (Marsille) Russell all of Mobile, AL; three sisters: devoted, Denise (Leonard) Weeks, Peggy McGadney and Ebony Houston all of Mobile, AL; four aunts: Ann Roberts of Cleveland, OH, Alma Howard, Devoted Barabra Scott and Nella Scott all of Mobile, AL; one uncle, Charles Denise Scott of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren: Claudia Russell, Izabella Russell, Kayla Russell, Ciara Welch, Barbie Harris, Jameeya Harris, Earnest Harris, Jr. and Evan Harris all of Mobile, AL; one great-granddaughter, Eil Russell of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends
