Obituary for Catherine Robinson Wooten

Catherine Robinson Wooten, a native of Mobile, Al., was a welcomed addition to her parents, Katie and James on January 8,1949.
Catherine was a 1967 graduate of Central High School. In her time there, she was voted Miss Marching 130 for Central High School Band. She also met her high school sweetheart, Cornelius, who she would later marry and spend the rest of her life with and from that union, they were blessed with a daughter and a son. Catherine had a sweet spirit, always sharing her warm and beautiful smile with everyone. She was a positive and encouraging person who always saw the best in everyone. She simply loved with a passion, and cared for others and never met a stranger.
Catherine, was a woman of great faith. She was born into church upon her accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord at an early age. She then united with the Greater Nazaree Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor, Reverend Dr. Joseph Blair and became a member of the youth choir, then when of age moved on to be apart of the No.#2 choir. She remained an active, faithful member in regular attendance, under the present Pastor, until her health failed in December of 2018, Catherine, through it all, never lost her praise and never ceased to worship her Lord. Although she could not physically attend worship in the sanctuary of Nazaree, she made herself the sanctuary, and whether she was at home, the hospital, or the rehab facility, she never stopped in her fellowship with God and never ceased in offering her thanksgiving to Him.
She was employed at the Gordon Corporation for many years and retired from the USA Children and Women’s Hospital as a Ward Clerk on the Mother/Baby floor. She loved meeting the newborns and sharing with the new parents.
Catherine was preceded in death by her father, maternal and paternal grandparents, and two sisters Shirley Robinson and Geneva Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her devoted memories to her loving husband, Cornelious, of 49 years and 11 months. Two devoted children Ericca Wooten McKinney of Mobile and Deacon Keidrick C.
