Obituary for Cathy Melanie Williams

Cathy Melanie Williams, affectionately called “Kitty Kat”, a native of Mobile, AL born on August 7, 1962 departed this life in exchange for her heavenly home on April 11, 2020. Cathy was the third born of Adolph and Helen T. Williams. She was preceded in death by her father Adolph H. Williams.

Cathy confessed life at an early age and united with the First Hopewell Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend John McCarty. Cathy attended C. F. Vigor High School. Growing up, Cathy had a passion for sports and was very competitive in softball and basketball. Cathy had a kind and gentle spirit and gave to others freely. She would always greet you with a hello and a warm smile. To know her was to love her. Cathy gave love and happiness to each life she touched and shall live on through her family and friends forever.


Cathy leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother Helen T. Williams of Mobile; one son, Antwuan Williams of Mobile, AL; three sisters, Pamela (Cornelius) Harris of Mauvilla, AL; Annette (Frederick) Bell of Charlotte, NC; Zandra Williams of Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Antwanya, Antwuan Jr., Antonio and Amarion; one great grandson, Aakil and Godmother, Ms. Lucy Thomas. Many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and special friends.
