Celestine "Nanny" Brown - 89 a native of Whistler, AL and a resident of Grand Bay, AL, born March 18, 1917, departed this life Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at a local hospital. She leaves to cherish her memories three loving daughters one devoted, Joann Campbell, Grand Bay, AL. Rosetta Woods, Daphne, AL. ALinda (Zeffie) Coleman, Irvington, AL; two sons, Euseibuis Pope, Los Angeles, CA., Joseph (Johnnie) Whitt, Centerville, MS, sister, Louise Jones, Atlanta, GA; three brothers, James, Anthony and Elijah Douglas, all of Mobile, twelve grands, three devoted Johnnie, Monica and LaTonya, twenty-eight great-grands and seventeen great-great-grands, two god children, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, December 15, 2006 from 1-8pm and Saturday, December 16, 2006 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Warmwood Baptist Church.
