Obituary for Charles Allen Spencer

Charles Allen Spencer “Jughead”, a native and a resident of Mobile, AL was born on September 11, 1956 to the proud parents, Ellis James Spencer, Sr. and Martha Spencer.
He departed this life for eternity on Tuesday, February 9, 2021.
He was a graduate of Murphy High School. Charles served his country in the United States Marines Corp. He spent most of his life as a long time truck driver. He drove for Ryder Trucking for years until his health failed. He loved life, his family and the Lord. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded by his parents, Ellis James Spencer, Sr. and Martha Spencer; two brothers: Ellis James Spencer, Jr. and Tellions Spencer; and sister, Elaine Dennis.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Luvenia Spencer; two daughters: Artesha (Johnny) Summerset of Atlanta, GA; and LaDerica (Gabriel) Galentine of Patterson, CA; four sons: Preston (Connie) Howard, Sr., Michael (Shytavisa) Howard, Sr., Curtis Scott and Rashad (Antonia) Spencer all of Mobile, AL; eighteen grandkids, two devoted: Landon Allen and Isis Howard and four great-grandkids; nine brothers: Lovett (Lysandra) Spencer, Alonzo Spencer, O’Neal Spencer, Sanders Spencer, Smitty Moye and Felix (Lonzie) Moye all of Mobile, AL, Glenn Spencer of
Beatrice, AL, Tyrone (Michelle) Moye of Beatrice, AL and Clifford (Louella) Spencer of Monroeville, AL; four sisters: Alice Penn of Monroeville, AL, Claudette Shoemaker, Rochelle (Robert) Williams and Printella Saulsberry all of Mobile, AL; three brothers-in-law: Robert (Felica) Howard and Henry (Monica) Howard both of Mobile, AL and Dale (Victoria) Howard of Grove Hill, AL; two sisters-in-law: Jacqueline (Patrick) Dennis of Augusta, GA and Susie Clopton Mobile, AL; three uncles: Melvin (Mary) Odom, Thomas (Katie) Spencer and Woodrow Spencer; three aunts: Fannie Tunstall,
Katherine (Robert) Knight and Eloise (Robert) Hoskins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends, one devoted friend, Edward Pugh.
