Obituary for Cheryl J. Donerlson

Ms. Cheryl J. Donerlson was born on May 16, 1961 in Mobile, AL, to Deacon William and Gloria Hayes Sr. She was a long time resident of Mobile, AL. She was a current resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia. On Thursday, May 14, 2020, she gained her wings. She exchanged life for eternal rest. She accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized and a longtime member at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of New Mercies Christian Church in Lilburn, Georgia. She was educated by Mobile County Public School System. She was a graduate of Mattie T. Blount High in the Class of 1979. She was Miss Prichard. She attended Tuskegee University. She married and traveled the world with the military. She lived in Italy, where she learned to make her famous Lasagna. She was approaching 25 years of service with her employer Wal-Mart Super Center.
She was preceded in death her father Deacon William Hayes Sr. and her brother William C. Hayes Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved and devoted son Eddie Donerlson III; her loving mother Gloria Hayes; her grandmother Matilda Hayes; her devoted sisters Stephanie (Vernon) Johnson, Carolyn (David) Chapman II, Angela (Diedrik) Lewis Sr., Tijuana Hopkins, Yolanda (Desmond) Smoots; a host of devoted nieces: Katrina (Eric) Timmons, Danielle Thomas, Felicia Thomas, Tina (Darrell) Copeland Sr., Kywonda (Marshall) Edwards, Gloria Lewis, Angelitha Lewis, and Essence Hayes; two devoted nephews Diedrik (Karisa) Lewis II and David Chapman III; a host of great nieces J’ Lynn Timmons, Kayla Drinkard, Tamia Carter, and Everleigh Edwards; two great nephews Brieson Timmons and Darrell Copeland Jr.; a loving uncles Sylvester Hayes, Henry Hayes, Harold Hayes; a host of devoted aunts Vera Bell, Marie Gilmore, and Joyce Lockheart; a loving great aunt Mable Shepherd; loving cousins Alesia Allen, Timaily Shepherd, Jerel (Felicia) Gilmore, Jermaine Gilmore, Y’lonn Gilmore, Thasa (Eric) Gilmore; Two Devoted friends Lisa Steward and Makita Hawkins; and a host of other loving family and friends.
