Obituary for Ciana Hunter

Mother Ciana Williams Hunter was born March 3, 1922 and a native of Coffeeville, AL. And a resident of Whistler, AL., departed this life at her resident on Thursday, December 24, 2009. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Barbara Prince of Whistler, AL., Diana (Joe) Dewise of Grand Bay, AL., and Dorothy (Larry) Curtis of Mobile, AL.; two sons, Robert (Deborah) Hunter, and one very devoted Elijah Hunter both of Whistler, AL.; one step son Joseph (Shirley) Hunter of Philadelphia, PA; nineteen grandchildren; two devoted Trisha (Norman) Rudolph of Mobile, AL., and Terrance (Shelia) Prince of Louisville, KY.; forty great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; one sister Barbara Curtis of Axis, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, one very devoted Mrs. Dorothy Osborne of Whistler, AL., and Joseph Hunter Sr. of Mobile, AL. Special thanks to caregiver of Odyssey Hospice. Her remains will lie in state Saturady, January 2, 2010 after 9:00 a.m. at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 141 St. Joseph Avenue, Prichard, AL. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral hour. Rev. James C. Richardson pastor and officiating minister. Interment will follow in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile, AL. Dignified and professional services entrusted to Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL.
