Celebration of Life Mrs. Clareatha Lomax exchanged life for eternity on April 30, 2021 at the Piedmont Henry Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She was a long time resident of Prichard, AL. before moving to Atlanta and was a member of Good Will Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Annie Sue Lomax; brothers, Willie James, Albert & Robert; sisters, Annie Lomax and Carolyn Bumpers.
She Leaves to cherish her memory a very loving and devoted family; daughter, Tejan Muata; granddaughter, Malaika Floyd (Rex, Ga.); son-in-law, Leonard Floyd, (Washington D.C.), sister, Rose L. (Bernard) Davis (Spanish Fort AL.); brother, Ben DuBois Lomax (Mobile AL.); sister-in-law, Voncile Lomax and children (Atlanta, Ga.); devoted Anita Hubbard & family, Charisse Osborn & family, John W. Bumpers & family (Mobile Al.), Dorothine (Kenneth) Hunter & family (Bloomington, II.) the family of the late Willie J. Lomax, Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clareatha attended Ella Grant and graduated from Mobile County Training School. She was very active in school. She also sang with 2 Orchestras. She was employed by the Mobile Dog Track. When she moved to Atlanta, Ga. in 1990, she worked many years as a pharmaceutical assistant followed by several years as a nursing home assistant. The last 7 years of her life were spent as a loving and dedicated caregiver to her beloved daughter Tejan.
