Obituary for Clarence Roberts

Brother Clarence “CC” Roberts, 63 of Mobile, Alabama passed away on April 8, 2018 at a local hospital. He was born on April 22, 1954.

Clarence was a 1973 graduate of Mattie T. Blount High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an active member of Yorktown Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee and a member of the usher board.

He was preceded in death by his parents Turner (Loretha) Roberts and Lorene Kemp; his baby brother Willie “Jack” Roberts; nephews Jeffery Jones and Leroy Jones Jr.

Clarence is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years Vanessa Roberts; three daughters: Kenyetta (Jason) Grissom, Loretha Roberts, and Jessica Roberts; One loving and devoted sister Mary (Leroy) Jones; two brother-in-law’s George (Helen) Wells and Joseph (Sharla) Wells Sr; Four loving Grandchildren; Jerrika, Jason, and Ira Grissom and Giselle Roberts; A devoted cousin Roy (Roxie) Falconer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loving neighbors. Special friends: Charlie Patrick, Jerry Powe, Kim Tate, and Eddie Thompson.

His remains will lie in state on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 1- 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9am until the 11am funeral hour at Yorktown Baptist Church, 857 East St. Plateau, AL.

Interment will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 1:30pm in the Alabama State Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery, Spanish Fort, AL.
