Cleophus (Bubba) Martin, a native and resident of Mobile, Alabama, exchanged this life for eternal life on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. He was born September 23, 1947 to his loving parents, the late Deacon Samuel Martin, Sr. and Mrs. Everlean Nemo Martin. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Samuel M. McCree. He was a graduate of Trinity Gardens High School. He studied Culinary Arts at Carver State Technical College. He retired from the University of South Alabama Hospital after 41 years as Supervisor in Central Supply. His parents, Samuel Martin, Sr. and Mrs. Everlean Martin, three sister, Maggie Collins, Johnnie Mae Mose, Eula D. McDuffie and four brothers, Samuel Martin, Jr., Tommie Martin, Joseph Martin, and Willie James Martin, all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons: Cleophus Martin, Jonathan Martin and Chandler Martin all of Mobile, AL. Two brothers: Robert Martin of Mobile, AL, and Alonzo (Angela) Martin of Canton, Ohio. Six sisters, Mary Mabins, Clara Thornton, Marie (George) Carter, Joyce Martin, and Linda Martin, all of Mobile, Alabama, and Sherrie (Russell) Kelly of Jacksonville, Florida. Sixteen grandchildren: Devante Jackson, Devon Jackson, Tyler Martin, Courtlyn McMeans, Ashley Martin, Brittany Martin, Chelsey Martin, Chandler Martin, Jr., McKenzie Martin, Amber Martin, Kymora Howard, Maddison Martin, Janisha Carstarphen, Jasmine Clemon, Cleophus Kennedy, and Jessica Weeks. Eleven great-grandchildren: Chase Carstarphen, Jamyia Clemon, Jakeem Clemon, Damoni Clemon, Dantonio Clemon, Jr. Mesheyla Kennedy, Zion Kennedy, Zirell Kennedy, Ja'Marrih Weeks, Ja'Myra Weeks, and Ja'lyn Weeks, all of Mobile, AL. and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
