Obituary for Climontine Parker Pettway

Mrs. Climontine Parker Pettway, a native of Wilcox County and a resident of Mobile, Alabama for ninety-two years. Departed her life on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the age of ninety-two. She was born June 20, 1926 to Will Parker and Rosie Parker.
She confessed Christ on September 1944 at Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of R.J. Carey in Safford, Ala- bama. She was a faithful member until she moved to Mobile and joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend R.L. Nelson. She was a member of the Pastor Aid – President, Sunday School, BTU, Missionary Society, Willing Worker Society.
She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, L.C. Pettway; one daughter, Rosa D. (Wesley) Moore; four brothers: Lee Edward (Florence) Parker, Earnest Lee (Elouise) Parker, Na- thaniel (Ola Lee) Parker and Richard (Bennie Mae) Parker; three sisters: Azilee (Clinton), Ethe Lou Parker and Rosie Etta Parker.
She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Morris (Shane) Barosa; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Willie Mae Pettway; one devoted god-daughter, Veonica Lambert; one devoted niece (who was raised as a sister) Mattie (Odell) Pettway; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
