Obituary for Collins Jones
Mr. Collins Jones 76, of Mobile, Alabama entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Mobile Infirmary
Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susie Annah Jones, sisters; Maggie Cobbs and Lucy Thompson, brothers; Donald Johnson and James Edward Jones and several other relatives and friends.
Affectionately known as “Slick” by everyone who knew him, he will be sorely missed. He was a great man of many
talents, a great family protector and provider; and very loving and caring when it came to his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory of many years the Love of His Life – Fannie McCampbell; four children: Jerome Jones,
Collins Blackwell, Crezzette Shannon and Shonvette Jones; a host of grandchildren, two sisters: Ethel (Bishop James)
Brock, Jr., Duncanville, TX, Melba (Curtis) Abner, Mobile, AL; brother: Marshall Jones, Mobile, AL; two aunts: Liza Gibson,
Galveston, TX, and Hannah Clemons, Mobile, AL; two uncles: Jimmie Lee Clemons and Paul Clemons, Mobile, AL; two
Special devoted nephews: Elton Brock, Duncanville, TX and Carl White, Sr., Crestview, FL; A special cousin, Tommy Lee
