Mr. Cornelius Quinsey, a lifelong native and resident of Mobile, AL, was born March 11, 1929 to the late Robert and Geneva Quinsey, Sr. He departed this earthly life on Friday, November 9, 2018. He was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. He was a retired barber, a Shriner, a Mason, a former member of the Excelsior Band and an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Cornelius James Quinsey and a brother, Robert Quinsey, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving & devoted wife of 54 years, Cordelia Quinsey; six children: Leslie (Iris) Quinsey, Carmen Quinsey, Twana(Robert) Brown, Reginald Quinsey, William Quinsey and Vera Jiles; one aunt, Callie Purifoy; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Small's Mortuary, 950 S. Broad Street, Mobile, AL. A visitation will continue on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 8:30 am until the 10:00 am funeral hour at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 605 Donald Street, Mobile, Alabama 36617.
