Obituary for Mr. David George Broadnax, Sr.

Brother David George Broadnax, Sr. was born September 4,
1951 to the union David and Ernestine Broadnax in Wilcox
County, AL. On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, God in his
infinite wisdom, summoned him home to be joined with loved
ones gone before him as he transitioned to his heavenly home.

Brother Broadnax confessed to Christ at a young age growing up
in Wilcox County, AL. He was a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant
Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Co-Chairman on
the Trustee Board until his health declined.

Brother Broadnax retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in
Pascagoula, MS, with over thirty-five years of dedicated service.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his
favorite sport teams.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Broadnax;
parents, David and Ernestine Broadnax; and sister, Glory Dean
Pettway–Wilson.

Brother Broadnax leaves to cherish his memories, his children:
Michelle Pettway and David George (Sharita) Broadnax, Jr.; four
grandchildren: Makenzi Pettway, Ethan Franklin, Dalayah
Broadnax and David Samuel Broadnax; five sisters: Leola
(Willie) Ransom, Hattie Collier, Augustine Pickett, Annie
Broadnax and Gwen Broadnax Miller; three brothers: Oliver
Broadnax, Leonza Broadnax and Arthur (Debra) Broadnax;
brothers-in-law: Jerry Mosley and Timmis Pettway; sisters-inlaw:
Shirley Mosley, Loraine (Bobby) Pettway and Diane
Pettway; one aunt, Lillie B. Broadnax; along with a host of
loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
