Obituary for Deacon Stutts

Deacon Frank Stutts - a native of Clarke County, and a resident of Mobile, born December 4, 1919, departed this life Saturday, June 2, 2007. He was a former member, head Deacon and Trustee of Mason Memorial Temple COGIC, for over forty years under the leadership of Bishop Philip Gardner and a current member of the Eleventh Street COGIC, under the leadership of Elder Grady Gordon, Jr. He was a member of the Local 1410 and a retired Longshoreman after twenty years of service. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He leaves to cherish his special memories a loving and devoted wife of sixty-seven years, mother Naomi Stutts, six children, Theodore (Viola), Charlie (Marilyn), Joseph (Odette) Stutts, and Laura (Don) Gardner, all of Mobile, Jimmie (Sharon) Stutts, Philadelphia, PA., and Adell(Isiah) Gamble, Detroit, MI, sixteen grands, twenty great-grands, a devoted son and daughter-in-law, Eugene(Ruth) Mosley, sister-in-law, Pecola Davis, brother-in-law, Grady (Naomi) Patterson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, June 8, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, June 9, 2007 after 11am until the 1pm funeral hour at Mason Memorial Temple COGIC, 2157 Government St. Bishop Philip Gardner, pastor and Elder Grady Gordon officiating. Interment in Gethsemane, Mobile. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL
