Delores Smith Hudson was born on December 1, 1937 to her proud
parents, Eddie and Creola Smith in Birmingham, Alabama. She departed
this earthly life for her heavenly home on May 16, 2020.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age under the leadership at Saint
Emanuel Baptist Church in Coy, Alabama. Under moving to Mobile,
Alabama she united her membership at Friendship Baptist Church in
Crichton, Alabama. She served under the leadership of Reverend W.E.
Jones.
Mrs. Hudson was employed at Mobile Infirmary Hospital for thirty-seven
years. After retirement, she resumed working part-time with the Senior
Companion Program of Mobile County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Creola Smith; her
sister, Fannie Hubbard; her brother, Cradine Smith; and son-in-law, Harry
Johnson.
Forever cherishing Delores’ beautiful memories are her loving and
devoted children: Willie (Delilah) Stone, Willanda Johnson, Robert
(Goddess) Hudson and Roderick (Pamela) Hudson all of Mobile,
Alabama; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and friends.
