Delores Jean Smith Watson, born February 21, 1946 in Mobile,
AL to the late Ellis and Ruth Arnold Smith. She departed this
earthly life on December 7, 2019 at her residence surrounded by
her family and friends.
She attended Dunbar Junior High where she was a majorette and
Central High School. She graduated with the Class of 1964. She
then went on and became a daycare teacher for thirty-four years at
Mobile Community Action. She dearly loved what she did.
Lois was a loving and kind hearted person. She was preceded in
death by her father and mother, Ellis and Ruth Arnold Smith; and
her sister, Barbara Ann Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter,
Maria Francine Watson; six kids of her sister that she nurtured and
guided: Derrick, Daryl, Sheryl, Marlene and Antoinnette, two of
which were devoted: Sheryl Davis and Marlene Davis Lilly; one
sister, Bernice Russell; two brothers: Theodore (Linda) Smith and
James (Barbara) Smith; a host of grands, great-grands, nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; two special friends:
Carolyn Jones and Eloise Jackson; one god-daughter, Regina
Banks.
