Ms. Dolores Hill Washington "Lois” a native of Kissimmee, Florida
and a resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on September 6, 1935 and
died Friday, March 26, 2021. She was a member of St. James Major
Catholic Church. She was a devoted Day Care Provider for sixteen years
and a devoted mother of six children; and a chaperone for both Blount
and Murphy High School Bands. Dolores was the lead singer of Bill
Washington’s band and a dedicated member of St. James Major Catholic
Church choir and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary as well as a community mother of Toulminville neighborhood. Dolores was preceded in
death by her loving and devoted husband of thirty-nine years, William E.
Washington, Sr; her son William E. Washington, Jr; her parents Charles
Hill and Cora Trusdale; three sisters: Alleane Johnson and Lela (Allen)
Thompson and Barbara A. Hill; one brother: Lawrence A. Hill. Dolores
leaves to cherish her memories; her two sons: Eric T. Washington of Atlanta, Georgia, Pierre (Vicky). Washington of Mobile, Alabama; five
daughters: Levell Jones of Orlando, Florida, Val (Jerry) Poe of Ellenwood, Georgia, Dr. Renata W. Hannah, Ph.D. of Stockbridge, Georgia,
Natalie (Calvin) Williams of Jonesboro, Georgia, Adrienne (Roderick)
Hale of Peachtree City, Georgia; twenty-three grandchildren: Nina Way
of Atlanta, Georgia, Lemuel A. Way of Atlanta, Georgia, Todd Poe of
Atlanta, Georgia, William Hannah of Charleston, South Carolina, Brittany (Kita) Richardson of Mebane, North Carolina, Emanuel F. Williams
