Obituary for Dorothy Mary Hollings

Born November 22, 1942, was called home to eternal life on February 1, 2019. She was a native of Orrville, Alabama and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama. Dorothy was a retiree from Mobile County Public Health Department after many years of faithful service. Dorothy loved life and lived it to the fullest and her most precious moments were those spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grand children and friends whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Walters; mother, Mattie Harris Bee; Two cousins whom she loved dearly, Patricia (Pat) Stone, and Joyce Sneed Johnson; longtime partner and friend , Leonard Parker; close friends, Sandra (Susie) Evans, Delores Chaney, Thomasine Freed Greene, Sallie Mae Morrissette, and Gertie Wesley.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, four children that loved her dearly, Sharon, Claude, Michael, and Varryl Hollings all of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren, two devoted Erica (loving son Leonard) Turner and Brittany Hollings all of Mobile, AL; sixteen great- grandchildren, five very devoted Christopher Mosley Jr., Joshua Jones, Rihanna Hollings, Alana Turner, and Lyndon Turner all of Mobile, AL; devoted cousin, Lela Felix of Chicago, IL; Also devoted cousin more like a niece, whom she loved dearly, Scheretta (Michael) Cunningham of Saraland, AL; devoted Uncle and Aunt by marriage Herbert and Evelyn Hollings Sr., of Mobile, AL; Two devoted cousins, by marriage who were more like nephews, Herbert Hollings Jr., and Deon Hollings, both of Mobile, AL; a host of other cousins and friends.
