Obituary for Dove Mingo Sr.
Dove Mingo Sr. was born June 18, 1935 in Rehobeth, Alabama to the late Willie and Julia Mingo. He was a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. He departed this life on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home. He retired from Mobile Pulley after 25 years. He was also an owner of Mingo’s Social Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Julia Mingo; son, Jerome Mingo; two grandsons, Dove Mingo III and Karl Mingo Jr.; daughter-in-law, Letita Mingo; four sisters, Adell Mingo, Emma Mingo, Jamie Ramsey and Ollie Mingo Bennett; five brothers, D.C.,J.D.,J.C., David and Ledell Mingo.
He leaves to cherish a devoted wife of 63 years, Thelma Mingo; two daughters, one devoted, Beverly(Michael) Kinard and Wanda Bosley; three sons, Dove(Susan) Mingo, Jr., Karl(Pam) Mingo.,Eric Mingo; daughter-in-law, Diane Mingo; brother-in-law, Randolph(Cookie) Williams; twenty two grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
