Eddie Lee Reese born November 3, 1928 in Uniontown, Alabama. A resident of Mobile, Alabama passed on August 24, 2018.
Eddie L. Reese was a faithful member of the choir and the Usher Board and later Ordained a Deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Peter Reese, Sr. and Maggie F. Reese; Thelma Bradley Reese, the mother of his children; daughter, Janice L. Shurn (Douglas, Sr.) Sharp of Hagelcrest, IL; four sons: Malcolm Levert (Sharon) Reese, I of Chicago, IL, Roderick LeVon (Margaret Rose) Reese of Southfield, MI, Erie Adrian (Eunice Thrash) Reese of Willowar, CA, Donald Christopher Reese, Sr. of Rancho Mission Viyo, CA; nine grandchildren: Stau Danielle Bryant (Dionte’) of Long Beach, CA, Adrian De Ryan Reese of Marietta, GA, Malcolm LeVert Reese, II, Pamela LeShun Reese of Chicago, IL, Douglas (LaVonda) Sharp, II of University Park, IL, Derrick (Vera) Sharp of Homewood, IL, Devon (Bryant) Caudill of Waterford, MI, Alyssa Reese of Southfield, MI, Donald Christopher Reese, Jr. of Carona, CA; six great-grandchildren: Douglas Sharp, III, Champijon Sharp, Josiah Sharp, Malachi Sharp, Copeland Bryant, Daniel Bryant, Mister Bryant and Mason Caudill.
Eddie is also survived by two brothers: Peter Reese, Jr. and Joseph (Lorraine) Reese both of Mobile, AL; three sisters: Georgia O’Cain, Vivian D. Reese, Maggie (James) Cannon all of Mobile, AL; sisters-in-law: Audrey L. Wolfe, Madelyn Wolfe, Lynda Faye Smith, Atlanta, GA; sons-in-law: Allen Wolfe, Sr. and Reverend Andrew G. (Barbara) Wolfe all of Mobile, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, devoted cousins, other relatives and friends.
Deacon Reese will lie in state Friday, August 31, 2018 from 1pm - 8pm at Small’s Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 9am untill the 11am Celebration of Life Service at Greater Union Missionary Baptist, 961 Lyons Street, Mobile, AL 36603 , Interment will follow in Lawn Haven Cemetery, Theodore, AL.
