Effie M. Stapleton - 71, a native of Richton, Mississippi and a resident of Mobile, born September 15, 1935 departed this life Sunday, July 1, 2007. She leaves to cherish her memories six children Frank Jones, Pamela and Dwight Stapleton, all of Mobile, Timothy Stapleton, Gloria Griffin and Lesa Jones, all of Birmingham, AL. sixteen grands, nine great grands, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. "SHE WAS A WOMAN OF DISTINCTION, GRACE, FAITH AND CHARACTER." Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary Friday, July 6, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, July 7, 2007 after 9am until the 11am funeral hour. Interment in Whispering Pines. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL
