Obituary for Elizabeth B. Anderson

Her Life Reflections
Elizabeth (Johnnie Mae) Anderson was born August 5, 1940, in Sweetwater, AL, to the parentage of the late Ira Bettis, and Regina Hackworth. She accepted Christ at an early age, and attended Anointed Word Church, and later joined Friendship West Baptist Church, in Dallas, TX. While in Alabama, she attended Marengo County High School, where she completed her education. She later moved to Mobile, AL where she married Douglas Anderson. Elizabeth had a heart of gold. You could not beat her giving. She loved to cook and would always have Sunday dinners at her house and invite everyone over. She would always say, “Y’all eat all that food so I don’t have to put it up.” We cannot forget the weekends at the park. She would spend all Saturday morning preparing food to take to the park. She made the best banana pudding ever. She would sometime sneak and make her grandchildren their own banana pudding. Later in life, she moved to Dallas, Texas and years later reunited with her friend and partner, Ernest Prince whom she has known for over 40 years. Elizabeth, the 4th of 5 children, was preceded in death by her Husband, Douglas Anderson, Mother and Father, two brothers, and son David Earl Hatton. She leaves to cherish her memories: Friend and Partner for over 40 years, Ernest Prince; daughters, Sandra Sifford (Michael), Linda Lofton, Almaria Titus (Jason), Janice Lofton-Williams (James); sons Ronald Hatton (Clara), Johnny Lofton, Derrick Anderson; 24 grandkids, 37 great-grands, sisters, Shirley Thomas, Anzella Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family, and friends.
