Obituary for Ella Mae Howard Johnson

Was born on November 22, 1952, in Mobile, Al. She departed this life on Wednesday July 19, 2023 surrounded by family at Providence Covenant Care.Ella was preceded in death by her mother Viola Howard, father Richard Wright, Grandmother Rosie Lee Jones and her son Antonio Johnson, grandson Jalon DeAnthony Moore , She leaves to cherish her loving memories two children, Broderick Howard, Shana (Jeremy) Taylor., nine Grandchildren Tiajuanna Howard, Juwuan Turner-Howard, Jemeriah Cruz, Christopher Packer, Caleb Pough, Adriayanna Pugh, Caiden Cox, Shania Johnson, great grandson, Jah'ky Smith , nine siblings four Brothers, Walter (Carol) Howard Pass Christian Ms., William Franklin Howard Mobile, Ala., James Howard Westchester N.Y., Samuel Howard Frisco City Al., five Sisters, Helen Benjamin, Janice Howard, Rita Williams, Lauretta (Stanley) Finkley all of Mobile Al., Janice Moore Detroit MI.,two Dear Friends: Laura Hurd, Moss Point Ms., Rose Lofton Mobile, Al. a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives church family and friends.

At an Early age Evangelist Johnson surrendered her life to Christ. After some time she became a faithful member of the Greater Showers of Blessings COGIC under the leadership of Prophet Charles Buchanan where she served as Vice President of the Missionary Dept., Assistant Sunday School Teacher as well as assisted with the youth choir ministry. Ella volunteered at the Mobile County Metro as Chaplin. For twenty-eight years she was employed at First Baptist Day Care as Assistant Program Director until her health begin to decline. We will forever Cherish the Memories.
