Mrs. Eloise Hinkle Starks was born on April 10, 1926 and departed this life for her eternal home on January 2, 2020. Mrs. Starks was preceded in death by her husband-Robert “Bob” Starks; her son, Ira Pickett; her parents, George Washington (Sarah Catherine) Hinkle; sisters, Betty (Charles) Poellnitz, and Elezora (Oliver) Hicks; brothers, James (Irene) and John (Leona) Hinkle.
Mrs. Eloise Starks is survived by one daughter, Winifred Maiben; two sons, James (Normia) Pickett and Ronald Pickett, one daughter-in-law; Barbara McBride-Pickett; eight grandchildren: Angela Rodgers, Jamekia Pickett, Xavier (Tynisha) Shabazz, Salaam (Gina) Shabazz, Allegra Pickett, Veronica Ruggs, Roulanda Pickett and Carmen Morris; nine greatgrandchildren, Yolanda, Allexus, Gary, Jr., Alexandra, Ira, Xavier, Edris, Shahara, Pria; nieces and nephews: Stephanie Danzy, Donna (Curtis) Johnson, Cynthia Poellnitz, Elezora Hinkle of NY, Gwendolyn Hinkle of CA, Tyrone Poellnitz, Xavier (Melinda) Poellnitz, John Hendrix of Los Angeles, CA, Jessie Hinkle of FL, and Arthur James Black of Mobile; great nieces and nephews: Allegra, Ashlyn, Nikki (Lawrence), Curtis, Jr., Xavier, Jr., Jairus, Michael Jr. (Ashley), Timeka, Kimberly, Brancie, and Keith; Cousins, one devoted, Vincentia Frazier (Earl) Morris-of Conyers, GA, Arnita Surles, Jairen (Ayana) Frazier, Reese McCampbell and Robert McCampbell, both of Atlanta, GA, and a host of other relatives and friends.
