Obituary for Essie Westry Wilson

Mrs. Essie M. Westry Wilson-- a native of Coy, AL, and a resident of Mobile born September 7, 1917 to the late Charley (Rose) Robbins, departed this life Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Eight Mile Nursing Facility. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Wilson, son, R.C.; daughter, Rosie Westry Johnson, three brothers, and grandson, Herman M. Rayford. She leaves to cherish her memories six daughters, two of which are primary caregivers, Ora Dee (Preston) Murphy and Lettie M. (Earnest) Parker, Valencia Westry all of Mobile, Eula Rayford, Alfreda Vail and Almeda Cicl, all of Detroit, MI; son, James Westry, Prichard, AL., nineteen grands, one devoted Marvin Lewis, twenty-eight great-grands and ten great great-grands, devoted sister, Mrs. Charlie Bell Holmes, Prichard, AL, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state at Small's Mortuary, Friday, March 16, 2007 from 1-8pm and Saturday, March 17, 2007 after 11am until the 1pm funeral hour Stone Street Baptist Church, Rev. Milton Stafford pastor and officating minister, Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Mobile. Dignified and professional services are entrusted to SMALL'S MORTUARY, 950 S. Broad St, Mobile, AL 36603
